Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones, better popularly known as Suranne Jones, is an actor and producer hailing of England. The Suranne Jones character is an actress and producer from England. Her fame was gained through her role as Ruth Slater, the detective in a crime procedural called "Scott & Bailey in the series 'Scott & Bailey', as well as Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama 'Doctor Foster.' Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. Her first stage performance began when she was eight years older, and was the lead character Gloria in the production 'Wait Until Dark'. The first time she appeared on screen in 1997 when she played an actress in an episode on "Coronation Street". In 2000, she returned to portray Karen McDonald. Following her departure from the ITV soap the show, she appeared as a variety of roles on TV shows like 'Vincent' "Strictly a Confidential," and the 'Harley Street'. On the big screen she was in films such as "Love and a Longshot', 'Broken Hearts' and 'A Christmas Star'.
